It's old. It has oil pressure. Oil filters get warm so oil is flowing. I'm calling it good. 7psi is good on my Harley shovelhead and it's been running since 1978. Getting the throttle to stay in one place and more checks on the charging system. Ya, that's what I'll worry about.

The throttle position control for the D6B is on the governor (behind the lever). Take it apart, clean it up, check the rollers and housing for flat spots and check the springs. Assemble with light oil only. If flat spots are found, those parts will need to be replaced.

Hi ebb,
That's not the type control on the D6B.
It uses the forerunner of the roller/ramp clutch type that later got incorporated into a separate shaft and housing.
I'd post some pictures but my scanner is currently out of commission.
