We have family on Hazel Dell and I am still involved with ranch on Mt. Madonna. So far they have not burned.
Glad the Old Magnet is staying out of it! Also wondering how Pete's P. at the "Hide out" is doing??
Good luck and were really concerned.
Living here on the Big Island is also prone to, fires, volcanos, earthquakes, Tsunami's but it is paradise, at the moment anyway.
Ran my D-2 8 hours last two days. Ran just as good as it did in 1941. Built 9 months before Pearl Harbor was attacked. What a GREAT machine.
Haole Cat.

Hello all,
Well we are back in the smoke again, not as bad as earlier but makes for poor visibility. Containment estimates vary from 25-35%
Haole Cat.
So far the fire has pretty much remained east of Redwood Road (Pete's Hideout)
and only touched the intersection of Browns Valley, Redwood Road and Hazel Dell
You can track the info, maps and info, (not totally accurate but best available) if you wish at:
