I'm looking at one that shows 25 pounds plus when cold. When it's hot is sits at a steady 20 pounds.

Is that acceptable? It would be a little low on a PV-15.

Replied by bruce oz on topic pressure
hello chugwater crawlers, from the 22,s that i have seen ,20psi would be high ,most would run about 10psi hot,the pressure is taken of the big end and with white metal shells in the there ,any small amount of wear will drop the pressure ,taking some shims out will increase the pressure ,on the oil pump there is a small dial that you can turn up ,but this will only increase the pressure a small amount if the shells are worn ,Turing pump will pump more oil to the top of the motor ,filling up the rocker cover ,because oil wont drain away quickly ,it will run down valve stems ,making motor smoke .
i would be happy with 20 psi ,hope this helps, bruce oz
