Hi all!! Long time no word from me...
But now i've been working the D4 a bit, really fun..!!
Accept for some problems with the main clutch. It doesn`t always disengage properlly, aspecialy under load. And just a couple of ours ago it started to disengage by it self, the lever fell out of the engage position. I've done some adjusting on the clutch according to the operators manual, but i didn't get it as hard as i desired. Couldn't turn it anticlockwise enough, it seemed stuck just after turning maybe 1/8 turn. I suppose the right thing to do is to try again turning the adjusting collar anticlockwise for a harder snap? Is the turning direction to be seen from the rear of the tractor?

Sounds like your turning it the wrong way. To tighten, you,d need to turn it clockwise from the seat or rear looking at it.

Ok, i did just as i read in the Operators instruction... wich says turn collar clockwise for a looser adjustment... But I'll sure try it the other way!!!

Hi, Lost Pinion.
SJ is right. The correct direction for adjusting the clutch tighter is clockwise as viewed from the seat. To put it another way, once you have the clamp bolt loosened, tap the adjusting collar DOWN on the right side to tighten the clutch. It is no different from tightening down a nut on a bolt, except that you need to have the gearbox engaged in a gear to lock the output shaft from the clutch to stop it turning when you start tapping the adjusting collar.
