How long will the ordering period last? The reason I am asking, is that I should be out of the country until mid-July, or thereabouts, and I do not want to miss my chance of getting one.
Will you be accepting payment at the time of the pre-orders, or are you just taking orders?
Thanks
Art

Hi Art,

The pre-order period ends on 29 August, so you will have plenty of time. :) Also payment is due with your order.

The details are included in Issue #79 of the club magazine.

Lee

Latest ACMOC magazine arrived today, and has a really nice color ad for the 491. A real beauty. Priced at $229.00 for non-members, until August 29, 2008. Members can get up to 4 @ $199.00
2500 to be produced.
200 D9D's to be sold as show editions for the Best Show On Tracks @ $300 each.
The club advised that because they are converting 200 of the D9D's to show editions, there are less than 150 of the "regular" D9D's left, and then you'll be at the mercy of Ebay and toy show prices. Which I'm sure, will be a lot more expensive!

My magazine came today, and I am going to put my order in either my July or August stack of payments, or if I am getting my 'stimulus' check, I will use part of it for payment.

What will next year's model be? A #12 maintainer, a 3T D7, a 2U D8, when do the nominations start?

alan627B, the Woodland Show Tractor is limited to 4 per member, but we chose not to limit the 491 Sraper during the member special.

Art, the plan is to stay with the D9 line for the next models. The reason is to minimize the tooling cost to the club. It is expensive to tool a new line, but once tooled, variations come with a significantly lower tooling cost.

Having said that, please get your choice to me, and we will consider it at the next committee meeting. We are in the process of updating the model plan, and are interested in what members desire. You can post the message here, send a private message, email me, or call me. My contact information is posted in the magazine.

Lee

Lee,
Would you consider a D9G with EROPS cab, hydraulic semi U blade, rippers, and a full lighting kit? That's my vote.

Perhaps a D9 with the inside mounted 9C blade?
