I've seen a video of the Sixty/3208. It belongs to an HCEA guy so ask around those circles.

Hey KoO, whats new with the TD repowered with the V12 GMC known as TD-18X2?

The Cat 60 you spoke of is called "Felix" and belongs to Jr. Christian.

Another note, there was some pics and a story of a Cat D-11 down under repowered with a Cat 3512. The unit was to pull a large bottom plow for cutting roots.

Hallo Macroten

Is that a 144 cu in P3 perkins you built into the 15?

Looks real good. :) :)

Please post some close-ups of the conversion.

Thanks

Replied by drujinin on topic I've seen....
a Hough Loader with a Chevy 454 and Automatic Transmission coupled in. When it wore out they repowered it with a Chevy 283 and automatic as it used less gas. They compensated for the weight diference with iron weights.
I once knew a guy who would buy up old Cletracs crawlers and put little V-8's and straight 6's in them. He always used the autotransmissions too. He also bought a Tree-Farmer log skidder and repowered that with a V-8.
I've seen 2 TD-15's or bigger with IH school bus engines in them.
Then there is the guy who put a Chevy 307 with a Governor in an "M" Farmall rubber tire tractor.
I was once at a Gas&Steam Show where there was a Cletrac with a Russian Diesel in it.

www.acmoc.org/ACMOC_BB/showthread.php?t=3298
Think this might be one?
Oz, this link doesn't work, at least on my computer.... www.piacentini.com.au/
Has it been replaced? Sounds like an interesting company.

the fifteen was like the picture when i bought it, with perkins p3,
i interchanged the radiator and airfilter and drawbarbrackets to a other fifteen i have to make that one more original, the conversion was made in france i think as it has a french build perkins.
i istalled the battery under the hood, cheked alternator and regulator, adjust as much as possible, new clutch disk, mounted oilpressure gauge, wiring and lots more..
