D2-5J Piston Ring Part numbers

I just spoke to my local NAPA dealer who says HASTINGS still makes ring sets for the 5J series at $150 for all 4 cylinders.
Is this high?

I called Regal and got the CAT numbers and she commented that the top ring is a dealer stocked item.
Does this mean that the CAT Dealer still stocks rings for that engine?
She also thought that the Set for 4 cylinders is 9H1216.
Or do they need to be purchased as Top (5B0906), Middle (6B2171) and Bottom (6B2133) individual sets?

Would anyone know if these are the right part numbers?
Tractor Serial is 5J6334SP

Thanks!

Jeff, the e-mail address I sent you before, Check with Gary at that address. He has several D2s. You can call Fabco and ask. I normally deal with the parts dept in Madison as the one fellow there will spend the time to look it up.

Yes, Hastings still supplies rings for the D2. Just picked up a set for my 3J.
Hastings part # is 2C 7826. The label on the box says "chrome", it appears the top ring may be chrome.

The set came with 4 compression rings and 2 oil rings, however, mine takes only 3 compression rings. Do later models use 4??

Not sure of the price yet, the guy rebuilding my cylinder head picked them up for me, I'm sure they will be cheaper than the bill for the head!!

I haven't yet got my manuals, can anyone tell me what I should have for ring end gap clearance??
