I am looking at a Cat 22 out in the So.Cal Desert. SN 2F380. engine loose. missing engine side panels and the sheet metal and running boards that hold up the seat. rails and sprockets look just ok. what is a fair price to offer and are these sheet metal parts available. Thanks for the help. Jim.

Hey Jim it's just like anything, some people think they are gold and others scrap. Its sounds like with as much is missing you will need a parts tractor.
As far as pricing-
One sold on ebay a couple weeks ago, complete but radiator core chopped out, and slightly toasted from brush fire, $800.
My first one, complete, ran 4 years ago, good u/c, $1200
One I'm looking into, complete, ran 10 years ago, $600
Some guys just give them away...
22s are fairly common (about 15,000 made) so prices and parts are reasonable, and they come up on Craigslist now and then too.

As cCarl says from free up the sheetmeatal you can get from Geo.Rankin, the most costly parts are the Eisman CT-4 mag ,fuelpump, Donaldson pre cleaner and the spark plug cover then if its wide worth more

I make the entire seat box, fenders, roller guards, dirt guards, floor plates, lower engine panels, and track frame iron for that tractor. Steve
