I remembered back to 2009 when I found this old tractor. Anyone know what I had found? Just curious. D8 2U converted sideboom? Last time I spotted it a couple years ago it looked quite a bit rougher yet again. Sorry I know again I've posted a crappy pic 🙂

yes that's what it look's like to me. it is a side boom for sure. would make for a nice old cat to have around.

It looks earlier than a 2U or 8R. Maybe a 1H?
D-4 7U-43159 with 4S dozer and Cat 40 scraper, D-7 3T-1179 with Cat 7S hydraulic dozer, D-7 17A 13,944, D-8 14A-1160 with Cat 8S cable dozer, Cat 12-99E-4433 Grader. All runners and users.

With that radiator it would be a 1H D8, also has 75,RD-8 carrier rollers, late 1H air cleaner, later solid front idlers This would be a Trackson MD-8 pipelayer setup.

Yes , this an MD8 indeed . I found one in France some 30 years ago . Here is the proof :
