Well Jim, I am on vacation down in San Angelo, Texas, and got this urgent e-mail when I got back to my motel room late last night, dead tired. So I posted it. Not thinking of how it would look to folks who hadn't received their magazine yet. Perhaps to add insult to injury, if you have not already done so, take a look at the message stuck above about our recommendation to those of you who don't get their magazine in a timely manner. It is a terrible situation, and by the way, our club isn't the only one having these problems. Isn't it amazing that the post office wants to raise rates? Government always wants to raise taxes and fees, and the rationale is that it is necessary to provide "better" service. However, the service never gets better. Humm. Time for my morning coffee. GWH

GWH, just pulling your leg about the Crazy Horse thing. I think the Post Office is in a severe tailspin as it lost a ton of money last year although they raised rates. The increased rates just make folks do more things via email and online. I have heard a theory that the postal rate increases are actually to pay for the mail storage costs associated with slower deliveries.

It is rather interesting to see how really messed up the post office is with the discrepancies in the magazine deliveries. Looks like a good plan is in place to take care of the problems with timeliness for the ads.

Still not here. I do not expect to see it until after the next issue comes out. By the way Lee I did not get anything from the publisher on my ad after the first couple of exchanges we had. He told me he was going to send me a tear sheet. I have not seen it yet so maybe it did not make it in this issue. Which is par for the course.
