I am looking at a d6c 10k, I don't know the serial number. This cat will be in an auction this week,(complete farm sellout). What would be a fair price? The rails need to be turned, engine, transmission , and power shift seem to be ok. The track pads are 50%, no winch. The tractor was farm used, rollers and sprockets are 25% used. What would be the H.P. rating (6 cylinder engine). What year would this tractor be? What other questions should I be concerned with?

Their will also be a d8h in this sale, overall condition poor, the owner says it is the better of the two cat's. I did not view the tractors as he did, besides the d8 is a very large, heavy tractor. What would be the approximate weight?

I am new at this, but I'll give it a try.
I have a D6D and a D8H and my best guess is the D6 10K weighs about 38,000 and the D8H with a dozer blade is about 60,000.
Good Luck

125 horse up to #5983, 140 horse after that. 30,000# w/o blade or rops

10K built 68 to 77. As with all tractors this age, price based upon condition. Rough maybe $15,000, good runner with good bottom, ROPS, tilt all the goodys approaching 25 - 30000
