For those who may be interested, I got a flyer for a big aution in Bridgeport, Nebraska. Not an ordinary farm aution, an estate auction of nearly 3000 tractors, 1500 being John Deere, and many others, I think there are two or three cat crawlers, couple of graders, and cat power units, just thought some of you may be interested

Gary's Implement was the name. Do your homework before jumping in the truck tp go. $10 to get in:confused: ,$20 for a catalog(supposed to get 2 in) dock fees, and I understand Storage if purchases are not removed in 24 hours.
* I guess this was originally planned for June by another auction company then this one got in there somehow, now I understand the first one is suing the second one. I think I'll stay home!!:

The late owner of all that stuff ran a big tractor salvage operation for years, Gary's Implement, plus he was a collector, too. He had several farms covered with treasures...if you want to see a big thread about this, go to smokstak.com & search for "Bridgeport". The big stink is because Kruse stepped in & made the widow a better offer after Aumann Auctions already had the contract to do the sale...
Dang it sucks to type slow...Old Cats beat me to it...

That is going to be an interesting fiasco, been a lot of talk about the conditions of the auction, and not to forget that they have the right to protect the owners interest by bidding, on items with a reserve. The front cover of the advertisement sent to me is misleading, it states NO RESERVE AUCTION, then in the fine print, they state their conditions about items with a reserve, owner can bid up to the reserve price, whatever that is. This is a seemingly high roller auction, definitely do your homework prior to attending, nice inventory no doubt, to bad Aumann was "hoodwinked" out of doing the auction:mad:

The guys name was Gary Phillips. I have knew him for a very long time before he passed. He collected is first John Deere wheel tractor when he was 16. he passed away at the approximate age of 70. So he had been doing this for a while. He had several huge buildings with tractors crammed in there. You literally had to climb over tractors to get to the back. He had several old Caterpillars, but unfortunatley, anything with tracks was sold to Tri-County Equipment in Denver Colorado. They have been hauling pretty much non stop just to get it all out of there before Kruse does his big sale. Once Tri-County has time to go through everything he will be selling of what he does not want for his personal collection. All of the gems have been picked out of there by now. I know they got his HC TEN and that is probably the most desirable machine that he had left as far as the Caterpillars go. Someone wnet in the in late 2003 and bought all of his good stuff. There was an orchard TEN, Best 60 and a few others that went in that one private sale.
