Took a break off the 14a. Finally got back to fitting the best rollers off the donor undercarriage. These rollers are definitely more worn than the ones that are near new. If i put a straight edge down the rollers where the links run the worn two that I am putting on are around 1/2 inch away from touching. Also tried to be cheap and reuse some of the old bolts to hold the roller on. Got the first one on and torqued up three bolts to 450 ftlbs. Last bolt snapped. Had them all coated good with copper coat and they looked alright but a little rusty. Now I get to weld a nut on to get the broken bolt stud out of the swing frame. Going to use new bolts. They're $15 each for genuine Cat. Grade 10. B

Looks like quite the project! I really need to get the track frames off my D7 17A and find some newer segmented sprockets for it.

I would look for some better rollers to match up to the other ones or get out the welder. Razz.
