I attended a meeting in Woodland last night @ The Heidrick Museum. I was very impressed with how organized and how much energy Tom Madden has. He has been working his @#$ off for the up coming show. The whole team deserves a pat on the back. The Cat enthusiast planning on attending the Woodland's BEST SHOW ON TRACKS can rest assured that it is going to be one great show.

I drove an hour and a half back up today with my crew. We helped Willie out with his kind of a day.:D :D :D We filed points, cleaned out fuel systems and got a whole line of tractors running that haven't been started in 15 years or so. 2 tons, 5 tons, 30's, fifty's, 7's, Holt 75's, Best 75, Best 30, Best 60's, Cat 60's,.........and on and on. Man these guys know how to do it.:p

Well here is one happy oldtimer here as he watched us start his collection that hasnt ran in 22 yrs and has been gracious enough to let us play with his toys and use his entire complex to store and work on machines for the show. Our hats off to Jack Wallace, his Daughter Pam and Grandaughter Rosey

Glenn/Willie

On behalf of Jack Wallace and the whole Wallace family, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this weekend’s filming and work day at the Wallace shop. Jack could not believe the enthusiasm of the men working on the antique tractors. I believe he said it best, “Those guys are the hardest working bastards I’ve ever seen.” I’ve known Jack my entire life and believe me that is one of his greatest compliments. Just look at the picture of Jack that Willie posted if that isn’t worth a thousand words I don’t know what is. With dedication like this the Best Show on Tracks can’t help but be a success.

Glen:

Thanks for the kind words. What Glen fails to point out is that he left his home before 5 AM Friday to drive to meet with the folks at Peterson tractor regarding the show. We had a GREAT meeting and I was treated to old world salesmanship. To say the least, Glen and the folks at Peterson have a wonderful working relationship and I look forward to getting to know them at the show.

Glen also went back to work on Friday, put in a full day and was back at the Museum for our Friday evening meeting and the dinner that followed. He probably got home around midnight. If that was all Glen did for the show this weekend that would be enough.

Glen brought his brother and 2 employees/friends to the Wallace ranch along with 2 service/oiler trucks and kicked butt all day on Saturday on lots of equipment. See Willie's pictures for detail. Glen, I can't thank you enough for your dedication and your willingness to jump right in the middle of this show and get the job done. ACMOC is a far better organization due to your involvement.

I also have to commend Willie for all that he has done and continues to do for the show. Willie sometimes comes off as a gruff direct old codger who speaks his mind. Who Willie is is a guy who organized this entire work weekend, worked his butt off and jumped right in where he was needed. Between Jess (who is the moderating influance and reliable steady director) and Willie, we are in good shape.

Thanks to all the others who Willie acknowledged for their dedicated and donated time.

I think we are going to get lots more tractors moved so we can have another work weekend the weekend of March 21-22.

Thanks to all involved for your committed drive.

Jess,

You are a good host. I really enjoy sitting and talking about the history of the Woodland Good Ole Boys, after the work was done. You are a class act.
