Does anyone have any pics showing how to remove D6 9U starting engine, the thrust bearing is done and the pup seems to keep locking up. Any advice on puting electric starter in?

drain the pony motor oil
drain the main engine coolant
unbolt it all and lift it off:D
Not a big problem except for getting ALL of the nuts or bolts holding the pony motor block down to the clutch housing. Dig all the accumulated grease and dirt out between the pony motor and the main engine head to find the last one before you try to lift it up.
Old magnet will probably be along to give you the link to his pictures and explanations of the in's and outs of electric start conversion.
First thing to find out is- Do you have a clutch housing with a hole for a starter below the pony motor clutch and pinion?
or will you have to make one?
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D
