OM, thats the ones I used on the pumps from 4G2195 and 4G7747... Just looked, mine has the same outer cover, it is from a later model and so is his, 4B9040 is the cover on the later style pumps. Needs to get 2 of them. They are graphited cloth rolls, packed in that shape, and are EASILY damaged if you bump near the center hole, yes, I did it once..

KidNV,
Agreed, looking at the pump closer it is not any of the 4G models but is a later D4 type which uses the double seals. I show a 4B9046 cover and no 4B9040.
The seal number changes in the parts book do not correspond to your sequence of numbers but I know those same seals were used well into the late models.

I'm pretty confident that I got the leak fixed, I got the graphite rope packing and took about 3 inch pieces and untwisted them and wrapped them up in the pump with the shaft inplace and took 1/4inch punch with a small hammer and packed a little at a time until I got it about the same size as the old seals, I put it back on the caterpillar and reprimed the fuel system, useing air pressure in the diesel tank, I haven't run it yet, but I pressured it up a little, doesn't seem to be leaking, I have to wait for warmer weather to start the engine:)
