My neighbor owns a Twenty Two. I'm hoping I remember the serial number. I think he said it was 1F 1833. I'm sure about the 1833 but not about the 1F, he said he thought it was a 1939. I want to get him a couple of books for it for Christmas because he does things for me all the time. I saw a another post regarding decals and he was advised to call ACMOC. Unless some body has any better ideas that is what I will do in the morning and see if I can get them by Christmas. I recently joined and haven't received a magazine yet to see if there are any adds for books. What books would you advise to get for him.
Thanks in advance.

Randy,
From my experience, trying to purchase a book and ship one with in a week, you are running short on time. We are currently working on a Twenty-Two during "Cat Night". You are welcome to come down next Tuesday evening. It might be a 1 1/2 hour drive or so to Petaluma, Ca. I believe I have a parts book I could lend you until you could replace it. I usually see one from time to time on e-bay. Let me know....I can promise you this, you won't be sorry about the food my wife cooks for the guys. She's a very good cook. They will be about 18-20 guys here ...-Glen

Thank you for all of you help. I called ACMOC and even though she didn't have them she gave me a couple of numbers to call. I found what I was looking for and both books will be here "two day air". Not cheap but nothing compared to all that my friend has done for me.
Glen, I won't be able to make it but thank you for the invite. I'm curious about what is going to be happening at your place tomorrow evening? You're going to have 15 to 20 guys over there working on a 22? Tell me more about what this is all about please. I appreciate you offering to loan me a book.
Take care

Tomorrow Evening, we will have 3-4 guys working on a D2-3j. I let a friend bring it over, we pulled the engine to get to the clutch. Seals, bearings, new clutch , etc..
3-4 Guys will finish installing the gauges and fuel shut off box on the dash of the Diesel 35 we are working on. Just got the mag back in the mail today from Jim Zimmerman. BOY does it look like new. Nice job Jim. Well... tomorrow night we will install and fire up the 35....Can't wait.
3-4 guys will continue on the twenty-two...
We may even pull the engine on the RD-4, seal and bearing seems bad on front of tranny...
Always stuff to do at "Cat Night"...Anyone is welcome:D
