Hi Ali,
Afraid your SOL:D The bolts/studs are nicely located low and behind the flywheel. Might be able to reach one through the timing pointer cover....maybe.

We had agood day today, in addition to few successes, I found the source of leak . The oil is leaking from around the compression lever. On this machine it sit high on the right side of the big engine. The oil run down the area of the block behind the air filter. also found another leak if from the oil pressure gauge line.
These 2 problem are easy fixes:cool:

That's a hell of a lot easier than dealing with the flange gasket:D
Thought you had already looked for the obvious sources as mentioned early on in the posts.
The decompression shaft seal is a 7B280

Hey Old Magnet,
I checked the part number for the seal from my source , it is available and my cost is $1.00 . I think I will get few seal just in case the cussing got out hand
