Which direction to you turn the fly wheel on the pony cluch to get more clutch.Its on a D47j.

Hi Joe,
happy new year,
here is the adj. proceedure from the OMI.
To answer your question I believe you would turn the crank in the normal direction of rotation whilst holding the adjuster collar, this way you would'nt have to engage the pinion and have to fight the drag to rope start the pony.
As the text says one pin hole can make a lot of change to the feel when the adjustment point is close to correct.
