Hi Folks I Have A # 12-8t That I Believe Threw A Rod On The Pony Engine. I Would Like To Pull Out The Pony And Rebuild It But During The Time I'm Working On It, Would Like The Option Of Still Using It By Pull Starting. Any Ideas On Plugging Up Holes And Other Necessities Like Coolant Lines?
Any Ideas On Where To Get Complete Gasket Kits And Other Parts For This Job?
Thanks Mark

Best bet would be to make up a plate out of 1/4 in. steel that matches the pony mounting flange. Also need to blank off the water line connection at the back of the main engine cylinder head.
Make sure you drain down the main cooling system and drain the oil out of the pony or you'll have a big mess when you break the bottom flange gasket seal.
Cat still has the overhaul parts. Advertise here in the FS/Wanted section for used rods, crank if you need them.
