Is there some place on the net where I can obtain production numbers, serial numbers by year (what year manufactures) and specs (width, weight, etc) for the Caterpillar PV 15 series?
Thanks guys,
JB;)

The Caterpillar Pocket Guide shows the following information:
Production 1929-1932
Serial number PV1-PV7559
Weight 5790 Lbs.
Gauge 50 " or 40".
I know they produced over 2100 tractors in 1929.
I think Willie has the spec sheets scanned on his website.
What serial number do you have?

Hello Orchard CAT,
You asked the production figures etc for the model "15" tractors ;
Commenced production during the 1928 production year, Serial No's 1 to 4 inclusive, 1929 - 4,018 tractors built Serial No's PV5 to PV4023 incl.
1930 - 3,181 built Serial No's 4024 to 7205. 1931 - 105 built Serial No's PV 7206 to PV 7311 incl. 1932 - 247 built, Serial No's PV 7312 to 7559 incl.
Total PV "15" tractors built = 7559 units. These tractors commenced production painted Grey with red trim, then on the 7th of December 1931 the colour of ALL cat tractors was changed to highway yellow.
The PV 15 tractors were built in two gauges - 40" and 50" all under the PV prefix.
Hoping that this answeres your queries re these tractors.
Regards
