I got the motor grader home. Sorry but there was a change in plans and I had to hurry and forgot my camera, so no pictures of the move. Ended up using a Deere 200 excavator and chaining onto the front. Spun it around and pulled it over to the low boy. Picked the front end up and put it on, then pulled the back end on to the low boy. My friend was glad he brought the excavator and not the skid steer.

So far the diesel is looking very nice. Pulled some covers and it looks real clean. Still have not tried to start it yet.

The pony is a different story. I knew it was stuck before I bought it. Got it loose and then it would only turn a little bit before stopping. Pulled the heads and saw only one piston moving. BUSTED ROD. You will understand when looking at the photos. So I will be selling all of the non damaged parts soon like mag, carb, and other external parts.

I cut the flywheel housing to put electric start on. I kind of forgot how hard it is to drill a 3+3/4 inch hole through about 1/2 inch of cast iron. Took about an hour to get 20% in. I came up with a pry bar set up and flew thru the rest in about 1 minute. Leverage is a great thing with a heavy duty drill. That put a smile on my face. Just waiting for the new starter nose and drive pinion, then I will try to start it. Enjoy the pics.

looks like the pony got over revved by the diesel to come apart that bad.

aren't you worried about getting cuttings iin your diesel having the side of the engine open while you are drilling the flywheel housing? or did you have it covered up but removed the cover for a better picture?
