I wonder what,s going on with it as you type the site in it comes up houses for sale & dating service and a whole string of off beat stuff but yet at the top of the page it lists antiquecaterpillar.net so maybe some scammer has screwed it up.I always go here first & then when all is read I check over there to see what,s going on and that,s whats going on over there today all afternoon here anyway.

Joe has posted if you click on the news tab on the acme home page, it should be back working in 12 to 24 hours.

Site is fine from this end and I asked a few friends that are geographically dispersed to take a look and they report it's fine as well. Do you run spyware/adware cleaners regularly such as the free AdAware application from
www.lavasoft.de
? Sometimes you can get re-directs like that with some of the stuff picked up off the web.
Thanks for the FYI though, hope it's something simple!

It's down for me, too. When I click on the "why am I seeing this?" tab it prompts an email with the subject line "Inquiring about the domain antiquecaterpillar.net, with status: Expired". Painter, I saw the message you referred to as well and thought that the problem was being handled but it from 12/14/05- two years ago. Perhaps it's a recurring thing? Anyway, Joe- HELP:D

Nominally, the "domain expired" message means that the "antiquecaterpillar.net" domain name registration has expired and needs to be renewed. However it could also mean that the domain has been hijacked on the dns servers that you use, in which case the dns records need to be flushed and renewed. That normally takes a day or so to percolate around the world, depending where your resolution is taking place.
I had to renew my "paku.info" domain name recently and register.com are making good money for basically doing nothing - ah well, what can you do : )
Cheers,
Neil.

The other thing is that domain registrations are not perpetual - other people can register "your" domain if you forget to do so in good time. Looks like no-one has perked antiquecaterpillar.net so if it hasn't been hijacked, it's just a matter of getting online with the credit card and coughing up the readies for another stint.
Cheers,
Neil.

I tried to get on at work earlier today after reading SJ's post and I got the same site with homes for sale and a dating service. Where I work secrity is extremly tight so I called in our support personal to debug my computer. I even went to another building that is on a different server and had the same problem. As of the time when I left work they said that they couldn't find the cause in my profile or computer.
When I got home I got the exact same site.
