There is just something about that configuration that does it for me. Put on some narrow dual wheels with turf tires or lugs and I'm in heaven.
By the way, from Tom Madden's camp, I think that finish is just perfect. Really tells a story. Of course, knowing you guys, it'll be twice as nice with mirror finish Imron on it, too.
Pete.

i have not decided which way to go with it yet. I am leaning to the "natural" look.
I just finished a 1945 chevy 1-1/2 ton that my grandfather bought new.

Eric; You could have pressed those chambers out from the bottom side. You better have those injectors gone thru and the pumps checked and re-calibrated if necessary if you want it ti run top notch!!!!
I will have that smae pump housing and governor on display at the show in Wisconsin. I'm sure you'll have that machine looking "GREAT" in no time. Bill Walter

That truck is just outstanding. You can tell it was well cared for all its life. You can't recreate that character. I love the turn signals, an upscale option at that time!
I am working on a 1950 Ford F-6 that my Grandpa bought new. He turned it into what they called the "Swamp Truck". They were the first operation in the Sacramento area to decide that they'd put all the fuel, oil, grease and water on the truck and take it to the tractor in the morning, rather than drive all the tractors back to the shop each night for service. I have the flathead V-8 out right now for rebuild. I plan to put it back to a similar configuration to the way he had it, with fuel and water tanks, oil and grease barrels, some tools, an air compressor and welder and torch.
Pete.

Thanks Jim,
Pete sounds like you have the perfect Garlic Farm Service truck!! can not wait to see some pics.
Just a note on my truck, it was last registered in 1968 and still has the same tires from 1960
