Here is my 1953 Dodge Power wagon and my 1953 D47u with origonal Bros Dozer. My father bought both when times were good and we are still using them.

D4 Doug, darned nice equipment. I always liked the Dodge Power Wagons. When I was a kid, our local electrical power company crew had a 1941 Dodge Power Wagon, and it was over 20 years old at that time, and had seen a heck of a lot of hard service, and would be used for a few more years at that.
The Cat is a little workhorse.
Wonder if you've met Dick Bodine, a Cat collector, from Sheridan, WY. Heck there are a few of you Cat collectors in Wyoming! Chad too ("Wyoming Cat").

John, If you interested in buying a Dodge Power Wagon, go to the Dodge Power Wagon website. They have classified ads with pic's of trucks for sale. GWHdiesel, the 1941 Dodge you are talking was not a Power Wagon. It was probably a WC 1/2 ton 4X4 Military. They made the 1/2 ton in numerous body styles from 1941 to 1942. They are smaller than the Dodge Power Wagon. 1/2 ton vs 3/4 ton. 1 speed transfer case vs 2 speed transfer case. 8&3/4" Differential vs 9&1/4". I have a 1941 1/2 ton WC-12 closed cab 4x4 pick up. Fun truck to drive and you get a lot of looks. Took me awhile to get the hang of double-clutching. The "Crashbox" 4-speed is non-syncro. I,ve owned it for 20 years. Wouldn't sell or trade it, even for a pristine D2 cat. LOL

John,
I don't have any leads on Power wagons. There are quite a few around but they are getting popular and more expensive. The basic design came out with the military in 1942. I have a copy of the military manual for them. We used to have a 42' and it almost matched perfectly with the civilian version except for the single speed transfer case verses the two speed on the civilian version. Dodge made Power Wagons until 1968. I really need to repaint mine and do some work on the steering and brakes. I hate to stop using it so I can fix it.
Does your D42T dozer have a Cat blade or is it also a Bros?
Doug
