Hello all,
I'm having trouble locating the little half round keeepers for my steering clutch springs on my D-2 5U. Caterpillar says they are discontinued which is bizarre to me since they will still sell you the other clutch components. Do any of you have a source or some you would like to sell. I only need 4. Thanks....

See if this post helps-KidNV made the post and it really is awesome. I am working (slowly) on my D4 steering clutches and have contacted Florin and
Regal for most of them. Neither had everything.
Good luck and if you find somewhere new, let us know.

I know what you mean by slowly. I originaly took mine down in May for just steering clutches and brakes and it turned into a full blown transmission overhaul. Just doing it as money allows. Thanks for your help.

Just as an idea. .take one set of those keepers to a machine shop and have 'em duplicate 'em. As there is no wear or movement on 'em when they're together and the machine is running, mild steel would work nicely.
