Hi Malcolm. On a minesite in West Australia in the eighties we were treated to some Cat safety films made I think in Arizona at the Cat testing ground. They were extremely good, graphic and re-enactments of real accidents if my memory serves me right. The main actor was a poor old crash dummy who was rescued every time and carried back to the workshop attached to an old crane by a lifting eye in his head!!The films were hired from Wigmores,(the oldest cat dealer outside USA until bought by Alan Bond in late eighties.Westrac is now the West Australian Cat Dealer in Wigmores old buildings in Perth so it might be worth contacting them.Good Luck

Shake Hands with Danger is the classic Cat safey film from about 1970.
Pretty sure they filmed it at Cats Peoria Proving Ground.
Rumor has it that they sent a secretary out to the butcher and had her get a leg of lamb or something like that. They broke it with machine and used it for the sound when the one guy gets his arm broke.
You can watch it online at:

I haven't it seen in years, but the best one I remember was the "Roll of Drums". They even has a warning about weak stomachs at the beginning if I remember right.

Gents - these films are still available. I have the media numbers that the local Cat dealer parts folks can handle.
"Shake Hands with Danger",...... TEVN2619
"Roll of Drums",.....TEVM3012
"Signals: Read "Em or Weep",.....TEVN3013
Here is a fun video, short but good.
"The Great Tractor Race",.........TEVN2499
Hope this helps.
