Any sources out there for a set of decals for the D2? Is it a Cat dealer item?

ACMOC as the decals that you will need for your D2. I belive that you have to be a member of the ACMOC to order them. I think that there is a membership application on this web site somewhere. The other option is to have an ACMOC member order them for you, if you know an ACMOC member that will do that for you.

SP stands for special parts and all wartime production D2's had that designation. Someone said it was special gear ratio in the transmission. (Faster to outrun bullets) Ha Ha
Let us know how you get on with your search. Catalog of 1948 for the 5J3501 up doesn't show any decals or transfers, I suppose they didn't exist at that time, the markings must have been stenciled or something.
D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D

Just telephone the ACMOC office, give them the serial number of your tractor, and they will advise you of the price. I'm not aware of any requirement that you be a member of ACMOC to purchase them. Phone number is 309-694-0664, in the USA. GWH

Thanks! I'll give ACMOC a call. It's true I could have the local sign shop make them, but I don't know the font or size, the vinyl would be a bit thick, and I would like to get the other operators decals if possible.
