aside from the spark not passing muster and back to the thirty pulls to start the starting engine-did you inspect/replace the plugs? drain off any fuel in the cylinder via petcock...

Major error!!!!!!!! it does have points, I was thinking brushes for some reason. DUH

Cleaning it got a little nicer spark and I think a little assistance on the magnetizer will bring back the gap jumping splendor it seems to be weak on at present. More to come!

I'm looking for a replacement fuel bowl assembly too. The main needle was broken off in the bowl when i got it. I think the resulting cleanout made the passage too wide. hopefully zenith has a bowl, I can re-use my jets.

Well, $190 later it sure has a nice spark now. New coil and re-magnetizing the rotor did the trick. Not something I could figure out, but the electrical shop Old Magnet recommended had parts and the tools for the rotor. Tomorrow we see how it runs!
