What was the smallest motor grader Cat made? Did they make one smaller than the 212? When did 212 production start and end? Thanks, LB

Replied by SJ on topic 212 Graders
The earliest one I show in my book is a 1M & came out in 1939 & a 79C the latest from USA in 1954 & a 95C came out in 1955 & was made in AU the book says. That is all I have & no finishing time for the 212s.I wasn,t aware of any smaller motor graders that Cat made than the 212s unless someone else has more on it.

The information I have shows the #10 and #15 Motor Patrols (Half track arrangement of a grader on a Caterpillar tractor) which were produced in 1930 and the #7 Auto Patrol which was one of CAT's first ground up motor grader designs, and the #9 and # 10 which followed from 1932-1940 were the only graders that weighed less or about the same as the various 212 series that was produced from 1939-1957 as SJ said.

The weight listed for the #7 at 10,000 some odd pounds doesn't make a whole lot of sense since the size and HP specs are practically the same as the #9

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D
