Look below the pony motor pinion clutch for an opening in the clutch housing with a 3 bolt cover on it. If not, you would have to bore one or have it done. OldMagnet has a lot of information for D2's that would apply to using a modern starter on your grader.

What is the serial number of your grader? Looks like 9T4376 and up would already have the hole for the starter.

D2-5J's, D6-9U's, D318 and D333 power units, 12E-99E grader, 922B & 944A wheel loaders, D330C generator set, DW20 water tanker and a bunch of Jersey cows to take care of in my spare time:D
