I saw a D8K and box at that site at the beginning of September, maybe the same one that got nicked. On this one the running gear was very worn out but it could have been replaced. The strange thing about it was that I could see it from the A1 as I drove North, so I assume everyone else driving up the A1 could see it too. There was probably no way for the bloke who parked it up to know this and he may not have been thinking about trying to hide it anyway. Its hard to hide a D8 and box and probably just bad luck that this one was on full view to the A1. My sincere sympathy to Chris Lee, I hope he gets it back.

Hi Roly, real bad news, it must have been nicked to order.
I remember years ago on the Ipswich bypass, after P Dalton had gone under, all the tractors and scrapers were lined up for collection and a green foden low-loader turned up and took a D6...........nobody batted an eyelid.

A friend just told me about a concrete batching plant that turned up on site in Manchester, on two low-loaders. took 4 men two days to get it all put together and that dissapeared overnight, never to be seen again.

Digger Dee,Frank ,and Dave hope your well, they must have balls as big as church bells to steal something that big,but there with a computor you could soon print false documents and movement orders for if you was ever stopped,i,m sure chris has allerted all the shipping ports and ferry companys, theres far too much thieving going on, they should start chopping fingers off like in saudi,i bet once they lost a couple they,ed soon change there ways, lets hope it turnes up soon.
