I had to do a little clearing for the local historical society.. i just couldn't leave this standing in the middle of the lot.

Yup. If you go about it in the right way a D2 will do a lot. I see you took enough area to get down under, cut the roots off before you rolled it. Good job and you didn't stretch every bolt in the Cat doing it that way!

Nice job on getting that stump removed. You sure got a nice straight blade on that D2, Mine hasn't been treated so kindly over the prior years. The machine restoration job looks great!

It took two years to restore. I still need to get the decals. I am sure some people think I am crazy but I just cannot look at a machine and not be able to use it. Sometimes I may overdue it a bit. The worst part is when you stall the machine you have to get off to start it again.

That's inspiring
and proof that I've got to get off my butt and get my D2 up and running.
And what a relief to "re-read" in your post that it took almost 2 years to restore---at first thought you were saying it took almost 2 years to dig that stump out.
