Trouble pulling starter Pinion on Cat 12 was created by dmayer

Hi
The Starter Pinion level on my 1944 9K Cat 12 Grader (B4600 Enginer like a D6) is really hard to mover. I belieave it's been a bit hot, maybe a lub problem. Anyway I want to pull it out. I have the Pony Motor Up About 2" and the 4 Bolts out but it doesn't want to budge. Is tere anything I've missed in getting the pinion out?
