I am searching for the number of Model Twenty Eight Cats produced. I have #4F592W made in 1933. Anybody have this information?

Willie,
Thanks a bunch. I knew it was a short production model, I can only presume that it was due to poor design. My opinion is that this tractor woud be best served as a piece of landfill, which it would have been had I not pulled it out of the ravine. Perhaps I will restore it. Perhaps it will just be a testament to the "Old Tractor".

Well if you want to part with it just let me know. It started as a 20 the upgraded to a 25 then to a 28 there were less 25s then 28s but was replace by the 6G30 They used that engine for grades and other things also

I am thinking I'll hang on to her. We purchased the property nearly 30 years ago with the 28 in a ditch, I just pulled her out a few weeks ago to make way for a road improvement and a bass pond, (my wife has priority on the road, the boys and I have the pond as the higher priority). She's in pretty poor shape (the tractor, I mean). The motor is seized (along with a bunch of other stuff), the sticks flop around with no resistence, and some jerk stole the magneto. Oh yes, one track is thrown. We hope to get her running again.

If you are ever in the area, stop by.
