This is a question to all the Chapter and National officers so I am writing here rather than the "discussion" thread. I am Secretary for Chapter 16 in southern CA. We are always trying to recruit new members. We know that there probably are other paid up members of the national club living in the five county area that we "serve". How is the best way to reach out to any national members who live in our area but for whatever reason, have not joined us? Have other chapters reached out in a similar manner? Looking for ideas other than asking Mary and Tricia for help who are already busy. That may be the final recourse perhaps.

got to the acmoc website www.acmoc.org and log in, should be same password and usename as the bb, then at the bottom of the page click on members list.
Here you should be able to get the contact info for any paid ACMOC member in what ever region you need.

if this does not work then call the office and i am sure the staff can get a list of names and contact info for you to recruit from.

That list of Members at the ACMOC Members area is good, but I believe anyone who has opted out of publicizing their contact information won't be included there. Most Members have not opted out, so that list will probably be helpful.

I am sure I remember that other Chapters have also asked Mary or Tricia to run them a list of all Members in their area and I'm sure that Mary or Tricia would be happy to provide that, too.

Another idea that Lance, Trish and Neil had in Australia is that they have Mary or Tricia send them a list of any new Australian Members every month. One of them then calls or emails the new Member, welcoming them to the Club, answering any questions and pointing out some upcoming activities in the new Member's area. I should think that our office could provide you with a similar list for whatever area you feel is appropriate.

I think the personal touch of welcoming new Members, or even just personally inviting existing Members to an event, can make a big difference in people's interest and involvement. If I can do anything to help, please let me know, too.

Thanks for your hard work with the Club and the Chapter.

Pete.

Erik, Pete:

The last time I tried to find a members list was several years ago before I had signed up for the BB, which without signing in, got me no where. I had completely forgotten about it being available. That is perfect for what we wanted. Thanks so much.
