I like this about Italy, that they use crawlers for everything -

Hi, Neil.
Well, would like to be doing that mowing with an equivalent wheel tractor, either 2 or 4WD?

Just my 0.02.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

interesting video Neil, crawlers cutting hay! never have seen that...not sure if there's any real advantage over wheel tractors...cutting hay doesn't require traction (like tillage) or a lot of horsepower..

=think i will stay with my old Case 65HP diesel 2 wheel drive tractor, and New Holland haybine

always dropping GOLD, all you have to do is just pick it UP !

Reminded me of D2 or TD6 scooting around the hills here. I had neighbors that used to mow and rake with D4' s, better stability, less sliding.

I know when I used to mow hay, some fields were quite sketchy as far as traction goes, even with 4wd wheel tractors. The more clover in a crop, the less traction for sure. The Italians crop some heavy rolling country.
Here's another one of a plow day where there's a mix of crawlers and wheel tractors -

This one seems a little too wet for his cultivator - www.youtube.com/shorts/aysLJzjufyo
