In need of a pinion plate for my 212 grader pony motor. Cat part number is 2A3623. Cat has them new, but I can't afford the price right now, hours cut at work. If anyone has a good used one, let me know. I was just going to rotate mine to a good spot, but it has cracks all the way around.

Thanks Don. I'm hoping to locate one substantially cheaper than the $135 average most of those places are asking.

I think your best bet might be to visit the local boneyard unless someone like Hector has one on the shelf.

That is correct, it is the plate the adjusting ring engages. Thanks GP

[quote="Garlic Pete"]I may have one in a 4G D4. I don't have a parts book for this carcass, though, so I don't now for sure whether that would be the same part as your 212.

If memory serves correctly, this the plate that the pony clutch adjusting ring engages, is that right?

Maybe someone on here could look up that part number for a 4G D4. I'll be out by it again tomorrow night and will see if that part is still on the tractor. If it is, and it is the right part number, I'll cover you for it.

I definitely want it if serviceable. Is that on a grader? I'm looking for a few other small things for mine.
