I am not sure what you mean by the oil cleaner housing.
I have this 1929 cat 10, pt14. It has a oil filter housing attached to the dash. I don't think it's right. Not sure were the original oil filter goes..
Johnsd2, Sounds like You have an aftermarket Oil filter fitted, I have seen a couple done. To my knowledge Cat never fitted them to 10-15's , Your air Filter sounds like You Just need the Oil Cup , Often get rusted Out , can be repaired with Fibreglass or Find another, You may have to Buy a whole Filter . Some Pics will help Us Help You . LJ
Here are some pics..my air filter bottom pretty bad. Don't know how to get the rest apart to clean..looking for a better one.![]()
The air cleaner bottom looks very repairable to me . Dont forget this is a 90 year old machine.
Clean it up thoroughly and line it with some kind of fibreglass repair .
Other than the wing nut on top of oil filter canister being new to me looks like a Fram brand canister that took a CP1 filter. That was a common add on to early engines that did not have a factory filter. But there could be a lot of other after market brands I have never seen.
I would think the air filter is repairable. But until you clean the rust you never know.
As Andrew has said , Bead or sand Blast Rust area and Then Fibre glass the whole Bottom.Clean up nice after Glassing and Paint and You won't know its Not Original .LJ
