Hi everyone, im looking for a PTO engagement lever for a late model D2. The part number is 3H6195, attached is a picture of a similar lever except this one is for a older D2. Even a picture of 3H6195 would be helpful because i can fabricate something and keep it as similar to the original as possible, or possibly cut and weld the  7B9382 lever that I currently have. I have studied pictures and videos of late model tractors with a PTO but they dont quite show the lever. Thank you in advance to anyone that has any information that they can share.

That looks like the one I have on my 5U13753, although it didn't originally have a PTO so whether the PTO arrangement is early or late I couldn't say

The pictures in the parts catalog for the 3H6195 and the 7B9382 look the same, they also both use the same mounting bracket and the same lever on the PTO unit.

Thank you Neil and Josh for your responses. Attached is a picture of the “old” lever (7B9383) on my late model 5U14421, i dont have pto box on yet so i cant verify engagement but the lever has little throw. I have the seat adjusted all the way back, it would be much worse with the seat forward, the lever could hardly move at all, i think that is why cat came up with a different lever. Neil, your 13,753 would be a late model and require the lever im looking for. Im wondering what the part number is on it, could you take a couple pictures of it?

I'll ask my buddy, at whose place the 5U is parked, to get a photo, but if I recall correctly, it looks identical to your photo. In any case, the lever has very little throw from disengaged to engaged, maybe 30 degrees from memory. My seat is all the way back for comfort, but also up, on 3" channel, required for winch fitment, which I what I plan to put on it, and move the PTO to the "ag" 3J

I picked up this PTO from Wally (brewzer) if I recall correctly, so it's not original equipment on the 5U. You can see the angle between engaged and disengaged - it's not much. Also, the rod to the PTO gearbox is adjustable if I recall correctly, and even if it's not, you could make it adjustable to get your ideal fit - a 3/8NF bolt and yoke ( or just thread the rod after cutting off the rod)

I Have one of those earlier levers on a late model as well. They can be tricky to adjust because the lever hits the bottom of the seat and sometimes comes disengaged when brush hogging. It looks like your seat is setup higher with lots of room Neil.

Yes, I have the 3" channel under the seat and set all the way back, in preparation for installing the winch. Another "I'll have to get around to it" jobs....

Thank you Neil for the pictures and information. That is really helpful. Im going to use what i have and modify the linkage like you suggested or worst case cut and weld the lever if needed. Going to resist modifying the seat base. But you got me thinking about the 3” channel under the seat for winch clearance. That is not a bad idea as it would give a little more leg room and more room for the pto lever. Have you operated it like that? Wondering how it compares to standard height.

I quite like the extra height for visibility and leg room. I'm not tall but the extra space makes the operator station more comfortable. Easier to get into and out too I think because moving between seated and standing is easier. I have sat in standard height seats and prefer the raised seat. Since it's all bolted, it can be adjusted or even removed depending on operator need (I don't have the winch installed yet as it needs checking over and I don't have the brace that connects to the top of the transmission - if anyone has a spare or the drawings, please let me know - or if someone wants to make me one for $)

I think you'll be fine adjusting or lengthening the linkage rod - you need to do is set the PTO in the "forward" position so that the control lever would be at a low angle that still permits easy grasping, and set the rod linkage there, then confirm you can fully engage the lever without hitting the seat and so that you can also easily grasp it to disengage
