I have a late model d2 that the only thing that isn't stuck is the pony motor.
The ser number is 5u169??.
I bought it years ago to have as a spare for my 5u1795?.
Anyway, haven't been around acmoc for quite some time ,but yesterday I notuced guy wanted some track guards.
Someone replying that they are had to find ?.
This cat has both front and back guards.
What are these worth they are dentless!
I do know that an original battery box with the lid is somewhat rare, again what would that be worth?
Any thoughts.
I will attempt to upload a pic or two.
I'm located in utah.

What if we all chipped in and bought the front covers and found someone to make them?

Rhartwick I just ran into this thread, those covers are hard to find and that would be a good idea as I don't know if there is anybody making repro models. JM would the feller out your way who makes the grader side panels also be able to do the sheet metal work on these covers if a guy had a good pair to go off of?

Just got in JM so a day late and a dollar short : )

I'm in if they're going to be copied. That's a run of 3-4 at least.

Ron,

Looks like you bought them. I designate Neil as the royal "We", but if you should want to work around this, I would be happy to contribute a few hundred bucks if you were willing to pay for your costs of buying them +, and then wait until some metal shop could reproduce them, and give you back a new set, and then sell them to others. Seems like they should have a run of a dozen or so. Just trying to work out an idea that would help everyone.

Check with Kenco Manufacturing if they would make them. Worth a try.

Ron,

Would you be willing to sell them at whatever you bought them for? I would pay you that. Then is anyone on the list has someone who could make them, we would send them there, and you would get back a new pair, or the originals, as you prefer. Whoever has the contact to make the new ones, I guess they would set their price, and we could all order our sets.

I'm just feeling my way along here, but something along these lines could work.

Rick
