caterpillar 25 serial number 3C442. This tractor has a factory pintal hook on the back along with the hitch. I did a restoration that was finished 3 years ago that took 3 years to do. The engine was completely rebuilt, mag rebuilt, has very good radiator, rebuilt carb, clean fuel tank. Was sandblasted and painted with CAT OEM yellow. All the sheet metal is straight, new rock guards. The undercarriage is like new. The pins and bushings are very tight and the pads are like new. This is a cat undercarriage, not an aftermarket that was put on it. It was on it when I got it like this. Minimal wear on the rails, sprockets and idlers. I researched this tractor and think it was originally sold to the US Military. There is another 25 in Oregon a few serial numbers off that is in a picture in a warehouse hooked to some big guns with some twenty's and twenty five's when new. That tractor is set up the same as this one. When I prepped the tractor for paint, the bottom layer was green and there was some military marking but I could not make it out. It was also red and yellow. This tractor was later sold to the Department of interior and used by the forest service. It is a wide gauge tractor. This was and engine off restoration, the clutch is like new, steers great. Has always been stored inside since I had it. I have side panels for it but are not on it or painted. New seat also.
