Wanting to know if someone knows of a full U blade for a D6C. Not sure, but maybe the full U off a D6D would work also. Has to be one sitting under a tree somewhere! Thanks.

Considering a full U blade is designed for a tractor that pushes large amounts of a material most of the time, my first thought is that no one made a full U for a D6C. These were usually found on a D8 and larger. After looking in a Caterpillar reference book I found that Cat did not make one, only a semi-U blade for a D6.

Your only other option would be someone like Balderson or Rockland made one.

Good luck.

Thanks tenncat, it will be hard to find. I ran one that the county used to have. It was a very nice D6C with a full U dozer and factory ripper. It sure could be the vintage of a Balderson blade. I have seen 2 others, one on a D6D that a neighbor has, and one in South Dakota. I have a full U for a D7, would fit a 17A, but has mounts for both cable and a hard nose.

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
