I'd like to know if a complete D4 dozer blade, frame, and hydraulics would fit on a loader D4 with a 5 roller rail, and if so, I would be in need of a complete dozer set up for this loader unit

Hi,
I cannot answer your query but I recall seeing one of these done at The Dealer back in the day, maybe not really practical for working in low head room conditions.
I do not have a Parts Book to see if the attachment was special size for the 955 or a standard D4 C frame.

I thought the Traxcavator Attachment page from a Caterpillar Products Brochure might help with ideas.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

The trunion mount bolting to the track frames might be issue. Loader trak frames might not be set up for dozer mounts. I'll take a look at the t-frames on the side of the shop tomorrow. Might be easier to build a blade to mount to the bucket. You should ask this fitting question in "discussion forum".

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
