Hello everyone, been a few months, but I'm back in about the same position I was then. lol.
went out and fired her up yesterday, still runs, mag is really noisy (time for a replacement)
Need a Mag. don't want to get stuck out in the woods.

D-2 5u pony
looks like a American Bosch, cat tag tho.
Looks like
4/2360c-47 ? tough to tell.
serial no 3a193043

looking at rebuilt ones, out right $450 I am sure they are really nice tho
id like to keep my old one since I got another pony motor.

currently looking at a place called mainly magnetos.

id like new, but cant find anyone that sells new, old replacement mags for a d2 pony.

thanks much
Scott

One other question.

why is there a big difference in bosch vs Wico

New Wico (still was kind of hard to find) is about 150 bucks cheaper, than a rebuilt Bosch
that big of quality difference ?

same application ?
new Wico 1907 vs my old Bosch same pony motor.

thx

Wico is still in production, American Bosch is not and parts can be more difficult and expensive to buy.
In my opinion the AB is a better built, more rugged unit but it is gear drive where the Wico is direct drive. (more parts in the A😎
