Carb found in friend's shop poor condition. We think it is for pony engine 1957 D-7. Free to any member who can use it

Does anyone know if this would be the same as used on a 1941 D7 7m? I just started digging into mine and the throttle shaft appears to be seized.

Believe the tag on mine is 7B4721

I f the carby is off a 3T it will fit your 7M but a carb of a 17A wont fit your 7M.
I wonder where the seller got that date from.
A photo would be great.

you can free up stuck stuff by putting in water and bring to a rolling boil . it worked on a D2 carb

I might have to try that tonight. The linkage side is free and I was able to get the butterfly to move slightly but don't want to twist the shaft. It appears the butt end of the shaft is where its tight.

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
