Not sure it makes a difference...

The chapter 12 (Chrisco machinery) registry lists 5U4141 to be 1949...(5U2200-5U4203)

Is there a master caterpillar catalogue (CAT-Olog) ? Who is right the most?

Is there a way to find out where a “cat” was made or did they all come from Peoria originally?

Some of the things I always wondered...

1949 is correct by my records,
Caterpillar did not track machine owners only dealers they were sent to. It was up to the dealer to keep up with who purchased the machine.
If you have an idea of which dealer sold the machine new then you may have a chance to get those records......but........like most dealers they needed that file room for another purpose so those records got tossed in the trash along with the micro-phish and manuals.
