Gentlemen, please help,
I need some "very detailed" instructions on how to install a Hyster D4N Winch on my 1955 D47U. I'm supposed to have all the neccessary parts. Also, can anyone tell me the difference between a Hyster D4 Winch and a Hyster D4N Winch?

On the tractor itself, can anyone tell me when did CAT start putting mufflers on D4's? What kind of mufflers have some of you installed on you're early D4's? What size pipe is right for my 1955 D47U?

There isn't a whole lot of difference, mostly the controls are the difference and the D4N is a little heavier built.

Do a search for the info. It was discussed not to long ago.
