Where are you located Rod? I"m looking for new piston rods for a D8H pony motor, but I don't actually know them well enough to know what does and doesn't match. Do you know what exact model the 977 was, like a serial #?

I am located in Carlinville, il. I don't remember the model or serial number of the 977. There us a parts book for a 977K, but not sure if this was it or not. It was loaned to a farmer to try and see if he wanted to purchase. The motor blew on him and from what I hear it is torn apart in his shed.

I could use the rods from it if they're in good shape. Is it torn apart enough to assess them?
