Members and Forum Users,

Thank you all for your patience while the new website is being rolled out. Unfortunately, the Forum has had to take a backseat while other parts of the website have had priority. The Forum was released in a rather "basic" configuration but what you see here is not the final form. We have read your comments and suggestions and will be moving towards implementation in the coming weeks. The last time we went through this it took three weeks before most of the bugs were worked out. Our committee was not given the chance to preview the BB so as it is as new to our committee as it is to you.

We have asked for a Tutorial Section be added to help everyone get acquainted with any new procedures and to answer questions. We hope that will shorten the learning curve eventually. Other changes are in the works and will be made as the developer has time for implementation.

Hello Jan
Thanks for the update. Would it be worthwhile creating a list of issues or unwanted behaviors?

For me at the moment there are five issues with the forum;
Wasted space.
Non functioning post preview.
Clicking a thread title takes you to the last post in that thread. Even if you have not read any of the posts.
Image viewer will not allow dragging and dropping.
You can't change the number of posts per page.

I don't think a tutorial will help unless there are hidden settings somewhere.

Regards

Phil

3 months late and $30k spent/ being spent. "The developer" better make time.

How about some accountability on the number of new members joining as a result of the changes made to access to the bulletin board?

Thanks for moving forward with the change even though it isn't perferct at the start, most things aren't when they begin.
I have one question, how can I get rid of the small box in the upper right hand corner trying to sell me a one year electonic membership?
I have acouple years to go yet and would still perfer the paper magazine.
Thanks

Andy

Phil Dirt,

Glad to hear that you have not been affected with this virus mess up there in the north woods. Unfortunately, the rest of the world has seen many impacts and delays including rolling out this new site!

Testimonials

"I also joined a year ago. had been on here a couple of times as a non-member and found the info very helpful so I got a one year subscription (not very expensive at all) to try it out. I really like all the resources on here so I just got a three year. I think its a very small price for what you can get out of this site."
